Hundreds die every year near Ngaoundéré from the effects of unclean water. A deep well brings clean drinking water to an entire village.

Context and background.

Unclean water transmits severe parasitic infections that endanger vital organs. Children, women and the elderly are most affected.

Project goal.

Reducing the rate of waterborne diseases in a village on the outskirts of Ngaoundéré through easier access to clean drinking water.

Activities.

  • Drilling a deep well (approx. 60–70 m depth)
  • Installation and equipping of the water supply point
  • Connecting the well and pouring the foundation
